The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of a classroom-based stress-management program for reducing stress levels of baccalaureate nursing students. Sixty-five students from a baccalaureate nursing program participated in the study. Participants were randomly assigned to either a control or intervention condition. After testing stress levels with the Stress Checklist, both groups participated in a brief lecture on stress and learned stress management skills. Participants in the intervention condition received the lecture and also participated in a 10-week class on stress management. Data were collected from each group before and after the lecture and intervention. Pre- and posttest comparisons indicated that students in the intervention group had lower stress levels than students in the control group. Discussion and implications for future research focus on the long-term effectiveness of a stress-management program for reducing stress levels of nursing students. The present invention relates to a new and distinct cultivar of Chrysanthemum plant, botanically known as Chrysanthemum×morifolium, commercially grown as a garden Chrysanthemum, and hereinafter referred to by the name ‘Fiscalceda’. The objective of the breeding program is to create new garden-type Chrysanthemum cultivars having inflorescences with desirable inflorescence forms, attractive floret colors and good garden performance. The new Chrysanthemum originated from a cross-pollination made in October, 2001, in Salinas, Calif. of the Chrysanthemum cultivar X7934, disclosed in U.S. Plant Pat. No. 12,531, as the female, or seed, parent with a proprietary selection of Chrysanthemum identified as code number 771116, not patented, as the male, or pollen, parent. The new Chrysanthemum was discovered and selected by the Inventor as a single flowering plant within the progeny of the stated cross-pollination in a controlled environment in Alva, Fla. in November, 2002. The selection of this plant was based on its desirable inflorescence form and floret colors and good garden performance. Asexual reproduction of the new Chrysanthemum by terminal vegetative cuttings in a controlled environment in Alva, Fla. since January, 2003, has shown that the unique features of this new Chrysanthem
